ELDON – Lakeway Ford-Mercury closed for good Monday due to economic troubles leaving 20 employees out of work.

Managers told workers that after nearly 20 years in business, the dealership could not continue.

In an official statement, Lakeway cited an unanticipated change in management in June, record high gas prices, and lower consumer confidence as the cause of trouble for the dealership.
